Robotics and Social Emotional Learning Club Facilitator
Build A Robot K12 (https://www.buildarobotk12.com) works with school districts, schools, and after school programs to bring human-centered computer science education programs to K8 students. We are passionate about hands-on learning through robotics and life skill building through exploring topics such as growth mindset, empathy, curiosity, courage, communication, and collaboration. Our mission is to help students embark on a journey to become empathetic creative problem solvers and leaders.
Build A Robot K12 is looking for part-time instructors to work with our partners in the Denver metro area in Colorado for our in-person programs. Must have reliable transportation.
Main responsibilities include:
Lead in-person instructions to a group of elementary school students
Create an environment that engages, challenges, and energizes students
Maintain a safe and supportive environment for students
Learn the Build A Robot culture and teaching philosophy
Learn the curriculum and become an excellent lead learner
Collaborate with stakeholders to help each other grow
Other duties as requested
Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress
Minimum of 2 years working with elementary-aged children
Teaching license, robotics and coding experience a plus, but not required
Love of learning and teaching with great classroom management skills
Must pass a background check
Vaccination and mask-wearing may be required per partner requirement
Pay: $30-$40 per hour (pay includes prep, training, and teaching time)
This is a part-time position. Most instructors work between 3-6 hours per week. We are actively hiring for the Spring sessions. Successful candidates will also have the opportunity to work with us in the summer. Interested in this opportunity, please email hr@buildarobotk12.com
