What is Social Emotional Learning?

We believe that human-centered skills and technical skills need to go hand in hand in order to create inspired leaders and problem solvers who will direct positive, social change through technological advancement. With this vision in mind, we include Social Emotional Learning (SEL) to all of our courses. In this course, kids will learn to work through problems with the support of social emotional learning and a focus on Purpose and Self-Management.

What is STEM education?

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. STEM pervades every part of our lives. A curriculum that is STEM-based has real-life situations to help the student learn. At Build a Robot K12, we use Social Emotional Learning and STEM education as a foundation for our courses and curriculum, so kids learn and apply their skills in real-world situations that are relevant to them.
