Introduction to Robotics and Coding

Design, build, and program your own robots! This class is an introduction to robotics and block-based coding. Kids will learn about the engineering design process, infrared technology, motors electricity, logic, algorithms, sequential thinking, loops, and conditional statements. In addition, students will learn and practice different social emotional skills such as Perseverance, Respect, Mindfulness, and Teamwork.

Design, build, and program your own robots! This class will be an introduction to robotics and coding concepts. Kids will learn to use robotics sets designed specifically for their age group that have LEGO┬« compatible building components and 21st century technology. They will use coding cards and a card reader to program their robots for various functions. This course teaches about the engineering design process, infrared technology, magnets, electricity, logic, sequential thinking, and conditional statements. 

Intro to Arduino and Physical Computing

Intro to Arduino and Physical Computing

This hands-on virtual class is an introduction to physical computing using the popular Arduino microcontroller platform. Learn how to put together simple electronic circuits and write programs (Arduino "sketches") to create projects that light up, move, and make sound.

3D Printing and Computer Aided Design

3D Printing and Computer Aided Design

Create 7 different computer aided design models! This class is an introduction to Tinkercad and computer aided design. Kids will learn about additive design, 3D printing, subtractive design, how to visualize 3D space, the engineering design process, measurement, alignment, mirroring, units and creativity. In addition, every lesson will include a different social emotional skill such as perseverance, goal setting and precision.
