Introduction to Junior Robotics – Level 1-1 (Week of June 29th)

$99.00

As junior builders, campers in the Storytelling with Robots camp will learn about robotics in a fun and supportive environment! Our goal is to help campers build interest and confidence in technology with lots of fun and engaging hands-on activities. This camp is perfect for young campers with or without prior robotics experience. Campers will construct multiple robots using colorful Lego-compatible RoboKid sets that incorporate electronic components such as a CPU board, sensors, LEDs, buzzers, and motors.

Campers will be introduced to coding using a card reader with graphics-based “Funny Cards” that allow them to program the robot simply by swiping the cards through a card reader. Campers will also learn about the concepts of input, output, sequence, loops, bugs, and debugging. They will get to showcase their fun designs through a show and tell of a short story using their robot as the main character.

This session’s Social Emotional Learning Topic is Growth Mindset.

A RoboRobo Robotics Kid Core Set is required for this camp and available for purchase at: https://buildarobotk12.com/index.php/product/roborobo-kids-core-set/ ($99)
