This camp is a continuation of the Introduction to Junior Robotics: Level 1-1. Campers will continue to construct robots using colorful Lego-compatible Robo-Kid robot kits (not included with camp tuition). They will continue to develop their building skills and learn about electronic components such as a CPU board, sensors, LEDs, buzzers, and motors. They will increase their understanding of coding and tech concepts such as input, output, sequence, loops, bugs, and debugging. They will complete a variety of art, game, engineering, and story-telling inspired challenges. In this session, campers will build: Game Bot, Roulette-Bot, Puppy Bot, Control Bot, and Bumper Bot.

Instructor

Kelley has been a Build a Robot instructor since its founding. Kelley grew up in Columbus, Indiana. She did her undergraduate and graduate work at Indiana University-Bloomington. Then she lived and worked in Indiana and Florida before moving to Colorado in 2010. Kelley is a Speech Language Pathologist at a K-8 school. She has been teaching robotics after school programs and STEM summer camps for three years. She loves helping students build their confidence in speaking and learning.


Prerequisite

Age: 6~8


No prior coding experience required.

Online Class access information will be emailed one week prior to the start of the class. If materials are involved, materials will be shipped two weeks prior to start of the class.

Fees associated with materials is nonrefundable. NO extra materials will be sent for this class. A RoboRobo Kid Block Core Set is REQUIRED for this class and must be purchased separately (see link below).
